Gisele Mackenzie’s rise to stardom began in the 1950s when she appeared on Canadian Broadcasting Corporation’s radio program titled “Meet Gisèle”. The American singer gained nationwide recognition in 1951 when she became a regular voice on the show “Club Fifteen” which was aired on CBS Radio.
Mackenzie became a household name in 1955 when she released her song titled "Hard To Get". Some of her most popular songs were titled "Don't Let the Stars Get in Your Eyes" and "Hard to Get".
Personal Life
Her birth name was Gisèle Marie Louise Marguerite LaFlèche. She divorced Robert J. Shuttleworth, who was also her manager, to marry a gentleman named Robert F. Klein in 1975. She had two children named Gigi MacKenzie and MacKenzie Duffy. The former is a well-known jazz artist.
