Career Highlight
The Singer was best known as the lead singer of the folk music fraternity, The Limeliters. The group was formed in 1959 and its initial members during its formation were Yarborough, Alex Hassilev and Lou Gottlieb. He helped the band produce several albums, including “The Limeliters”, “Tonight: In Person” and “The Slightly Fabulous Limeliters”.
In 1962, the Limeliters were involved in a plane crash but no death was recorded. Gleen Yarborough after the accident decided to leave the group, marking the beginning of a solo career.
As a solo artist, he released the following albums “Baby The Rain Must Fall”, “It Gonna Be Fine”, “The Lonely Things” and “Each of Us Alone”. The latter studio album peaked at the 18th position of the Billboard 200 recording chart.
Nomination
At the 8th Annual Grammy Awards held in 1966, the American singer was nominated as Best Vocal Performance Male for his 1965 album “Baby The Rain Must Fall”.
