About Golden Tate
Tate is a former American football wide receiver who also doubles as a baseball player. He is 2009s Fred Biletnikoff Award winner for Outstanding Receiver at any position, Golden Herman Tate III.
Early Life
Tate was born to Yolanda and Golden Tate Jr. The former football player graduated from Pope John Paul II High School, during which he excelled in numerous sports, including baseball and track & field. He later attended Notre Dame College, playing college football until he graduated in 2009.
Career
The former football star began his professional football journey in 2010 after the Seattle Seahawks drafted him in round two of the NFL Draft 2010. He played with the Seahawks till 2013, when he announced his move to join the Detroit Lions from 2014 to 2018. Tate made a Pro Bowl appearance with the Lions and left for Philadelphia Eagles in 2018. In 2019 to 2020 the footballer appeared in the squad of the New York Giants and later signed on with the Tennessee Titans in 2021. He later found interest again in baseball and signed with the Lefties in 2022.
Personal Life
Tate married Elise Tate in 2017.
