About Gracie Allen
Gracie Allen became notable for being half of one of the most iconic comedy duos from the 1920s to the late 1950s, Burns and Allen. The vaudevillian and comedian performed with her real-life husband, George Burns on stage, radio and television shows and in films. The couple became popular nationwide through their appearances on their own television show, “The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show”, which ran from 1950 to 1958.
Family Life
She was the daughter of Margaret Theresa Darragh and George Allen. She got married to George Burns in 1926. They adopted two children together: Sandra and Ronnie Burns.
Achievements
She is an inductee of the Television Hall of Fame and the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
Death
She died on August 27, 1964 from a heart attack.
