While in the university, Guy Berryman alongside other musicians like Will Champion and Chris Martin, created a music group known as Coldplay. Mostly used as the bassist, the Scottish musician was a prominent member of the team when they issued their first album titled “Parachutes”. By the end of 2021, they had released their 9th album dubbed “Music of the Spheres”.
Aside from Coldplay, Berryman has also performed with other well-known bands. In 2010, he helped Apparatjik, a multi-national supergroup, to record their first album titled “We Are Here”.

He’s the son of Rupert Berryman, who works as an engineer. Before divorcing Joanna Briston in 2007, they had a daughter called Nico. In 2012, he started a romantic relationship with Keshia Gerrits with whom he fathers two kids, Bea and Lucien.

He completed The Edinburgh Academy, and Kent College before starting his education at the University College London where he met his future bandmates.
