About Hans Albert Einstein
Hans Albert Einstein didn’t allow his father’s popularity and achievements to stop him from making a name for himself. Hans also contributed his quota to the development of engineering in the United States. He’s best known for his useful research works on sediment transport.
Some of his works were kept at the University of California’s Water Resources Collections and Archives. He also worked at the university as a Hydraulic Engineering professor.
Family
He’s the eldest son of Mileva Marić and Albert Einstein, the famous German-born physicist. His siblings were Lieserl Einstein and Eduard Einstein. Between 1927 and 1958, he was married to Frieda Knecht. The couple raised four kids namely Klaus Martin Einstein, Evelyn Einstein, Bernhard Caesar Einstein, and David Einstein.
After the death of his wife, he married a woman called Elizabeth Roboz who was a popular neurochemist.
Education
He was trained at ETH, his dad’s former school.
Honors
The American Society of Civil Engineers has named an award scheme after him to acknowledge exceptional people in the field of hydraulic engineering.
Trivia
He also worked for other popular institutions like California Institute of Technology, and the US Department of Agriculture.
