Her Highlights/Legacy
She starred in dozens of films from the 1930's to the late 1950's. She received a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 1960.
During World War II, she and composer George Antheil developed spread spectrum and frequency hopping technology to defeat the Axis' efforts to radio-jam the Allies' radio communications. Their work is now incorporated into Wi-Fi and Bluetooth technology, which led to her induction into the National Inventors Hall of Fame in 2014.

She was married 6 times and she had an adopted son and 2 biological children. She died at the age of 85.
