Born in Texas, she attended Monmouth School where she read music and drama. She held a B.A. degree in the area.
Selected Works
She kicked off her artistic journey as a singer before she ventured into acting. She made appearances in a number of theatre productions, including “A Streetcar Named Desire” and “Oklahoma” in the early 1950s. She made her TV debut in the 1952 sitcom “Mr. Peepers” and was seen on the TV show, “Playhouse". She also acted as Trudy Bauer in the early episodes of “The Guiding Light”. Her last appearance was in “As the World Turns”, where she co-starred with Michael Park and Cady McClain.
Personal Life
In 1954, she got married to film producer Robert Wiley and stayed as a couple until his death in 2009.

She earned an entry in the Guinness Book for playing the longest-running single role in “As the World Turns”.
