About Henry Fillmore
Henry Fillmore was a pivotal player in American music throughout the nineteenth century. He was a passionate composer, publisher, and bandleader in addition to being a musician. During his career, he was recognized for his incomparable combination of gospel, free jazz, and classical music.
He commenced his career during his early years, honing his skills on the piano, guitar, violin, flute, and slide trombone and also serving as a church boy.
He is believed to have composed over 250 works and orchestrated dozens more under the names Harold Bennett, Ray Hall, Al Hayes, and Henrietta Moore.
