Family Life
He was the son of Mary Walsh and Henry James, Sr. He had three brothers, including philosopher and psychologist William James. His younger sister was the renowned diarist Alice James.
Achievements
For his outstanding contribution in literature, he got his first nomination for the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1911. He was nominated again for the prestigious award in 1912 and 1916.
Trivia
He acquired British citizenship in 1915 - one year before his death.
