About Henry Lee Summer
The Brazilian pop rock musician created the record company Majestic Records with his manager James Bogard. He has released Billboard Hot 100 songs such as “Hey Baby”, “I Wish I Had a Girl” and “Till Somebody Loves You”.
Music Career
He was signed to Epic Records in 1987 and released several hit albums from the 1980s to the 1990s, including his 1988 self-titled album.
“I Wish I Had a Girl” is one of the highly successful songs by Summer. First released on his 1985 album titled “Time for Big Fun”, it was reproduced and launched on his eponymous album in 1988. It ranked at No.1 on Mainstream Rock Hit and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 1989, he released the album “I’ve Got Everything”. Two years later, he released “Way Past Midnight”. “Big Drum” is another album which he self-released in 2001.
Honors
In February 2014, he became a member of the Wabash Valley Musicians Hall of Fame.
Trivia
He was arrested for a DUI (Driving Under the Influence) in September 2006.
