About Hill Harper
In spite of receiving three degrees (including a Juris Doctor) from Ivy League institutions, Hill Harper decided to follow his passion and become a full-time actor.
While in graduate school, he performed in theatre but his television debut happened in 1993 with an appearance in the television series, “Life Goes On”.
With over two decades of experience in film and television, he has become known best for his performance as Dr. Sheldon Hawkes in “CSI: NY” (2004-2013), Spelman Boyle in “Limitless” and Dr. Marcus Andrews in “The Good Doctor”.
He is also a prominent author with several books to his credit.
Personal Life
His mother, Marilyn Harper was an anesthesiologist and his father, Harry D. Harper was a psychiatrist. His birth name is Francis Eugene Harper.
In 2017, he adopted a boy whom he named Pierce Hill Harper. He earned his first degree from Brown University and two graduate degrees from Harvard University.
Achievements
For his role in “CSI: NY”, he won three NAACP Image Awards.
