Personal
In 1926, he was married to Zeng Xueming but by the fall of 1927 they were separated due to Ho fleeing the country to support the communist party. Vietnam attempted to cover up her existence and perpetuate the myth that Ho was celibate and only had room in his heart and soul for creating Vietnam independence. Between their marriage and his death in 1969 they had each attempted to contact the other but interference from political parties kept them away from each other and intercepted messages.
