About Hugo Ball
Hugo Ball was the founder of the artistic nightclub called Cabaret Voltaire, alongside fellow poet Emmy Hennings. He was also known as the pioneer of Dadaism in European arts. He further introduced the sound poetry.
His poem titled "Gadji beri bimba" was used by the Talking Heads in their 1979 track "I Zimbra". The German writer was also known for his poem collection titled “7 schizophrene Sonette”.

He was married to Emmy Hennings.
Trivia
Ball decided to go into acting in 1910 and performed alongside renowned filmmaker Max Reinhardt.
Six years later, he created the famous “Dada Manifesto”.
He was the author of the first biography of Nobel Prize winner, Hermann Hesse.
