About Ian Poulter
English golfer Ian Poulter developed a love for the sport at the age of four years. Before starting his adventures, he worked at a local golf course as an Assistant Pro. His professional career began in 1996 and started gaining attention three years later when he was crowned the winner of the Open de Côte d'Ivoire.
In 1999, he had the opportunity to participate in the European Tour and won the Italian Open the following year. He established his name in the sport in 2010 when he won the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship. Two years later, he became the WGC-HSBC Champion.
Regarded as one of the most talented golfers of his era, Poulter has participated in the major professional tournaments including the Masters Tournament, The Open Championship, and the U.S. Open.
Family
His dad Terry, and brother Danny, are also golfers. He has been married to a lady called Katie.

In 2010, he was named at number 5 on the Official World Golf Ranking.
