About Ian Rush
Ian is a former soccer player of the Welsh national team. He is known for having made several appearances in the English Premier League, where he played for several clubs. He played the forward position. During his playing time, he was able to make several significant impacts, including becoming Liverpool's all-time leading goalscorer, netting 346 goals in total. On the national scene, he made a total of 73 appearances for his home country, where he also became the record goalscorer, with 28 goals, until 2018.
He made his first national appearance in 1980, in a 0-1 loss to Scotland. Ian played for clubs like Chester City (1978–1980), Liverpool (1988–1996), Newcastle United (1997–1998), and more. After his retirement, he earned his first managerial role under Chester City in 2004.

He was born to Francis and Doris Rush. Ian grew with with nine siblings. He was named to Tracy Rush between 1987 and 2015, with whom he had Jonathan and Daniel.
Achievements
He earned the "PFA Young Player of the Year" in 1983; "PFA Players' Player of the Year", "FWA Footballer of the Year", "BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year", European Golden Boot" and "First Division Golden Boot" in 1984.
With Liverpool, he picked up the Football League Super Cup (1985-1986); FA Charity Shield (1982, 1986, and 1990); European Cup (1980–1981 and 1983–1984).
