About Ike Davis
Ike Davis is a former pro baseball first baseman best known for becoming the 9th player in the history of the New York Mets to hit three home runs in one game. He also played for the Pittsburgh Pirates, Oakland Athletics, and the New York Yankees.
Background
Davis was born to Millie and Ron Davis. His father, Ron was also a professional pitcher and the 1981 American League All-Star. Davis attended Cocopah Middle School, where he led his baseball team to two state championships and set the record for the most homeruns in a season.
He later attended Chaparral High School and won three state titles. Davis also represented the USA in youth tournaments, winning gold at the XI “AA” World Youth Championships in Taiwan. He attended Arizona State University before getting drafted in 2008. Later in his career, he represented Israel at the 2017 World Baseball Classic.
