About Ilse Koch
Ilse Koch, also known by the nickname "The Witch of Buchenwald", was a Nazi and wife of Karl-Otto Koch, the first Commandant of the Nazi concentration camps: the Majdanek and the Buchenwald concentration camps. She is best remembered for her gruesome crimes at both camps as well as for being among the first prominent Nazis to face trial by the U.S. military. For her atrocities, she was sentenced to life imprisonment.
Personal Life
In addition to the children she had with her husband Karl, she also conceived a child while in prison. The child's father was never known.

She was accused of murdering inmates and turning their skins into lampshades.
Her husband Karl Otto Koch was sentenced to death by an SS court and executed by firing squad in 1945.
In addition to being known for her brutality, she was also known for being promiscuous. She allegedly had frequent simultaneous love affairs with SS officers as well as inmates.
She committed suicide in 1967 in her prison cell at Aichach women's prison in Germany.
