About Irving Fisher
In the study of economics, Irving Fisher has contributed to a number of theories including general equilibrium, debt deflation, and utility theory. Making a name for himself as one of America’s finest economists, Fisher has been credited for laying the foundation for the development of the Monetarism school of thought through his “quantity theory of money” research.
He also developed the interest rates theory and published a number of literature including “Mathematical Investigations in the Theory of Value and Prices” and “The Stock Market Crash and After”.
Personal Life
He was the husband of Margaret Hazard and had a daughter who was also named Margaret.
Education
The renowned economist was a product of Yale University.
Facts
In 1906, he helped to establish the Race Betterment Foundation.
