About Jacques Kallis
Many pundits have labelled Jacques Kallis as one of the best, if not the best, batsmen to have originated from South Africa. Despite developing a love for the game during his time in high school, Kallis began playing professionally during his teen stage after he joined England’s Netherfield CC.
At age 18, he played his debut first-class match. Since then, he has played in a number of high profile competitions including Cricket World Cup, and ICC World Twenty20. At the domestic level, he featured for a number of teams including Kolkata Knight Riders, Cape Cobras, and Sydney Thunder.
After ending his playing career, in 2015, he was hired as the head coach of Kolkata Knight Riders. He has also worked as a consultant for the English national squad, as well as, his native country.

As of April 2021, he held the record for the player with the highest number of ‘Man of the Match’ awards in Test Cricket with 23 honors.
