About Jakko Jakszyk
English musician Jakko Jakszyk, a multi-instrumentalist, singer, composer, and record producer, spent years as a significant contributor to art rock before achieving his greatest fame in the 2010s as the lead guitarist and singer in a King Crimson revival.
Career
In 1976, he joined the band Sixty Four Spoons, his first notable band. He was primarily deployed as the lead singer and guitarist of the band.
Jakszyk worked on his first solo album “Silesia”. This came after signing a deal with Chiswick Records in 1981.
After working with bands like level 42 and the Tangent, he joined King Crimson in 2007. He released an animated video for his single "The Trouble with Angels" (2020).
Early Years
He was born Michael Lee Curran in Highdale, London. He joined the National Youth Theater at the age of 14. At the age of 17, he formed his first jazz-rock band, which he called Soon After.
Honors
Awarded the 'Chris Squire Virtuoso award' at the 2017 Progressive Music Awards.
