He was an American actor who rose to fame in the 1970s when he played significant roles in films such as “Brian's Song” (1971), “The Gambler” (1974), and “Cinderella Liberty” (1973).
Caan's other memorable roles include 1972's "The Godfather" in which he played Santino Corleone, the older brother of Al Pacino's character Michael Corleone. His performance in this film earned him additional fame and several accolades.
