James David Rodríguez Rubio is a Colombian professional football player who became known for his attacking midfield prowess. He signed to Real Madrid in 2014 and went on loan to Bayern Munich between 2017 and 2019.

He is the son of Wilson James Rodríguez Bedoya and Maria Del Pilar Rubio. He married Daniela Ospina, a Colombian volleyball player in 2011. They had their daughter, Salome, in May 2013 and divorced in 2017.
He started dating Venezuelan model, Shannon de Lima, in 2019 and has had a son called Samuel with her.

As a Real Madrid player, Rodríguez won the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 UEFA Champions League; the 2014 and 2016 UEFA Super Cup; the 2014 and 2016 FIFA Club World Cup; and the 2016/2017 La Liga.
He also won the German Bundesliga with Bayern Munich in both the 2017/2018 and the 2018/2019 seasons. He also made the FIFA World Cup Dream Team in 2014.
