About Jared Carter
Jared Carter is a highly-rated American poet whose works are mostly written in the “free verse” style. His poems have been featured in publications like Poetry, The New Yorker, and The Nation. In 1981, he published his maiden collection which was under the title “Work, for the Night Is Coming”.
He has also published many best-selling books including “A Dance in the Street” and “Cross This Bridge at a Walk”.
Family
His dad Robert A. Carter was a member of the Seabees of the U.S. Navy.
Education
The poet studied at Yale University, and Goddard College.
