About Jared Gordon
Jared Gordon began his professional career with Cage Fury Fighting Championships. He later joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship and had his first fight under the promotion in 2017. The American MMA fighter has made a name for himself in the lightweight division, though he started his career as a featherweight.
Since making his UFC debut, Gordon has come up against some tough oppositions like Carlos Diego Ferreira, Joaquim Silva and Chris Fishgold.
Addiction challenges
The fighter has battled drug addiction for a number of years. He developed this habit at an early age when he had to rely on some pain relievers to take care of pains. Unfortunately, he later went into heroin, by the age of 21 he had become addicted to the drug.
After overcoming his addiction, Gordon promised to use every platform given to him to give hope and support to people battling drug addiction.
Honors
His bout against Joaquim Silva in 2018 was adjudged the “Fight of the Night” at the UFC on Fox 31. He has also won the CFFC Featherweight Championship.

He’s the founder of the MMA School called Combined MMA.
