About Javier Mascherano
Javier Mascherano is a professional Argentine footballer who began his professional career with River Plate in 2003. Upon his departure from River Plate in 2005, he played for a number of teams such as West Ham United, Liverpool and Barcelona, with whom he won multiple UEFA Champions League titles. He joined the Argentina national football team in 2003.
Personal Life
He became a father for the first time in 2006 when his partner, Fernanda, gave birth to their daughter Lola. In 2008, he and Fernanda finally tied the knot. Their second daughter Alma was born in 2009.
Trivia
In 2015, he was sentenced to 12 months in prison for tax evasion but did not serve a single day in prison as a result of the nature of Spanish law. He was however, ordered to pay a hefty fine.
