He is a retired American football player, who is known to have played for the Chicago Bears under the National Football League (NFL) where he occupied the quarterback position.
Prior to his official career playing days, Jay Cutler is noted to have participated in college football and eventually made his way to the 2006 NFL Draft where he got drafted by Denver Broncos.
After having spent three seasons with the aforementioned club, he got traded off to Chicago Bear in 2009 from where he later took his retirement in 2017 and went on to serve as a sportscaster for NFL on Fox TV. He returned to football the same year and played for the Miami Dolphins but again retired due to an unforeseen injury.

His father is Jack Cutler while his mother is Sandy Cutler. He is noted to have a sister named Jenna Cutler. He got married to American TV personality, Kristin Cavallari in 2013 after having dated for 3 years. His children are noted to be Jaxon, Saylor and Camden Cutler.

He received the "First-team All-SEC" in 2005.
