Journey to Fame
Alesi first appeared in the 1989 “French Grand Prix” at Paul Ricard in a Tyrrell-Ford, and he finished off as fourth.
In 1991, he signed for “Ferrari” as the additional driver with Alain Prost.
The French driver led for most of the race at the European Grand Prix and obtained fifth place at the “Pacific Grand Prix”.
Achievements
Alesi was awarded the Chevalier de la Légion d'honneur in 2006. Established by French emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, the honor is the highest French military and civilian order of merit.
In addition to winning the Formula 3000 Championship in 1989, he also won the 1995 Canadian Grand Prix.
