About Jean Moulin
Jean Pierre Moulin, a French civil servant who fought as a hero of the Résistance during World War II, entered public service and advanced quickly to become the youngest-ever prefect in France.
Background
He joined the army in 1918 but was never deployed. Moulin joined the civil service after graduating from Montpellier's law school. He was married to Marguerite Cerruti.

He joined the Résistance and fled to England after being expelled from his prefecture. In May 1943, following his return, he was elected as this council's first chairman.
