In 1996, Canadian business executive Jeff Skoll joined America’s e-commerce firm known as eBay Inc. During his early years with the company, he produced many business ideas for the organization.
Until 2008, he was the president of the company and played a huge part in the establishment of the eBay Foundation. He was once a majority shareholder of the company.
Other Ventures
The Canadian is also the founder of Participant Media, a film production organization. He served as the first chairman of the company. The production firm is known for some popular films such as 2015’s “Spotlight” and “North Country” which premiered in 2005.
He’s also the founder of Skoll Foundation, an organization whose primary aim is to minimize global poverty.
