About Jeremy Camp
Jeremy Camp started out as a performer by playing guitar in his father’s church, which was established when he was 14 years old. In 2000, he independently released his first studio album, “Burden Me”. Two years later, his debut major label album, “Stay” was released. He specializes in the contemporary Christian music genre with an influence by rock music.
Personal Life
He was raised in Lafayette, Indiana. He is the son of Tom Camp, the founder of Harvest Chapel in Lafayette. He was married to Melissa Lynn Henning from October 2000 until her death in February 2001. He has three children with South African singer Adrienne Liesching, whom he married in 2003.
Achievements
He was the recipient of five GMA Dove Awards and five ASCAP Awards between 2004 and 2012.
Trivia
The film, “I Still Believe” is based on his life with his first wife, who succumbed to ovarian cancer.
