American wrestler, Jerry O'Neil Lawler is notably known for his affiliation to the renowned wrestling promotion known as World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE). He is known to have competed at several championship events including the WCWA World Heavyweight Championship and the AWA World Heavyweight Championship.
He is also famed for his dispute with popular comedian and actor, Andy Kaufman; Lawler made the headlines after he slapped the comedian in an episode of the television show dubbed “Late Night with David Letterman”; the wrestler later revealed that the feud was faked.

From 1971 to 1978, he was married to a lady named Kay. He later got married to Paula Jean Carruth; the union ended in 1991. In September of 2000 he tied the knot with fellow wrestler, Stacy Carter.
Children
He is the father of children named Heather Lyn Lawler, Kevin Lawler and Brian Christopher; Brian, who was also a professional wrestler, committed suicide in July of 2018.
