Jesse Owens was an American track and field athlete.
His Highlights/Legacy
He won 4 Olympic gold medals in 100 meters, 200 meters, long jump and 4x100 meter relay in 1936. He set 3 world records and tried another one in less than an hour in 1935. This is called till today: "The greatest 45 minutes ever in sport". He is regarded as the greatest athlete in track and field history.
His Personal Life
He was born in Alabama in 1913. He was married and he had 3 daughters. He died of lung cancer at the age of 66.
