About Jessica Ofelia Mendoza
Jessica Ofelia Mendoza is an American retired softball player and a sports broadcaster who has worked with ESPN since June 2014. She began her softball playing career at the Adolfo Camarillo High School.
She later enrolled at the Stanford University where she also had a successful softball career run with the Stanford Cardinal from 1999 to 2002. Between 2004 and 2010, Jessica played for the US national women’s softball team. She featured in the National Pro Fastpitch league with the teams Arizona Heat and the USSSA Pride.
Family Life
She was born to Karen and Gil Mendoza, a former American football player who featured for the Fresno State University. She has two sisters; Elena and Alana, and a brother; Walt. She has been married to Adam Burks with whom she has two sons, Caleb Ashton and Caden Adam.
Achievements
She won a gold medal with the Team USA women’s softball team in 2004 at the Athens Olympic Games. She was adjudged the USA Softball Female Athlete of 2006.
