About Jim Cornette
Jim Cornette is a former professional wrestler, author, and podcaster of American nationality. He developed an interest in wrestling at age nine. When he was fourteen years old, he started working as a ring announcer, timekeeper, photographer, and magazine correspondent at wrestling events.
In 1982, Cornette made his wrestling managerial debut. In 2017, he made his WWE debut. Two years later, he made his first Major League Wrestling appearance as a commentator.
As an author, he wrote his first book in 2009 titled “The Midnight Express & Jim Cornette 25th Anniversary Scrapbook”. Other books of Cornette include “Jim Cornette Presents: Behind the Curtain - Real Pro Wrestling Stories”, and “Tuesday Night at the Gardens”.
Family
He is the son of Doug Cornette and Thelma Cornette. In 1987, he married Janice Kelly Crowl but divorced her in 2002. In 2007, he got married to Stacey Goff.
Awards
He was the 2007 Baltimore Sun’s Non-Wrestler of the Year. He is a two-time World Wrestling Federation Slammy Award winner. Cornette won the Manager of the Year Award by Pro Wrestling Illustrated three times. Additionally, he is a three-time Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Best Booker.
