Williams is an Oscar-nominated American actress and director who has immensely contributed to the growth of the movie industry. She took on theatrical training after graduating from the university. She officially started her acting career in 1974 when she was given the role of Constance Wilde in Jac Venza's anthology series, "Great Performances".
Her first job as a director came in 1994 when she worked on the short film titled "On Hope". Due to her positive contribution to the industry, she was crowned president of the Screen Actors Guild Foundation in 2009. Some of her films/series include "Endangered Species" (1982), "Law & Order: LA" (2011), and "Sgt. Will Gardner" (2019).
Family Life
Her father, Fredric Williams worked as an opera singer, while her mother, Frances Adams worked as a dietitian. She married fellow director John Pasquin in 1982. Her children include Nick and Will Pasquin
