He initially gained attention as a supporting actor in action films. He became a household name through roles such as Sheriff Buford in the semibiographical film, “Walking Tall”, the titular character in the action film, “Mitchell”, Molly in “Charley Varrick” and Thomas Jefferson Geronimo in the Italian American action film, “Final Justice”.
