About John Beilein
John Beilein was named the head coach of NBA side, Cleveland Cavaliers in 2019. The experienced American coach has also worked for some top basketball teams including Richmond Spiders, West Virginia Mountaineers, and Canisius Golden Griffins.
He played the game at his early age and was a member of the Wheeling Jesuit University basketball team between 1971 and 1975.
Family
He was raised by his parents alongside eight siblings. He married a lady called Kathleen in 1978. The couple has produced three children namely Patrick, Mark, and Andrew.
Achievements
He won the ‘CAA Coach of the Year’ award in 1998. He received the Coach Wooden "Keys to Life" Award in 2019.
In 2013, he won the NCAA Championship with University of Michigan Wolverines. They repeated the same success five years later.
