About John Chapman
He is a missionary and pioneer nurseryman, who is noted for the introduction of apple trees to places such as Ohio, Ontario, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and other places. He was popularly known as "Johnny Appleseed". John Chapman was prominent for randomly spreading apple seeds anywhere he visited.
He often planted nurseries, made fences to protect them from harm, then handed them over to locals so they could take care of them. He is noted to have planted his debut nursery in Warren, Pennsylvania.
