About John Havlicek
The history of the Boston Celtics won’t be complete without the mentioning of John Havlicek. The American basketball star, who was often used as a small forward, joined the team in 1962, the same year he was selected into the NBA. He was a prominent member of the team throughout his professional career which lasted for 16 years.
During his time with the Celtics, he won the NBA championship eight times and was selected into the NBA All-Star team on thirteen different occasions. At the 1974 NBA Finals, he was voted the Most Valuable Player. A decade later, he was ushered into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame

He played multiple sports during his time at Bridgeport High School. He later played for the basketball team of Ohio State University.
