About John Layfield
Known by the ring name, JBL, John Layfield joined the World Wrestling Entertainment, in 1995. During his time with the promotion, the American former wrestling star competed in lots of high-profile events such as Royal Rumble, WrestleMania X8, and Survivor Series.
He also performed under a number of promotions including Global Wrestling Federation, National Wrestling Alliance, and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre.
After his retirement in 2009, he shifted his attention to business and became the founder of company called Layfield Energy.
Family
The former wrestler was born to Lavelle and Mary Layfield. He married Meredith Whitney in 2005, after divorcing Cindy Womack two years earlier.
Achievements
Some titles that he won under the WWF/WWE include WWF Tag Team Championship, and WWE Championship. He became a WWE Hall of Famer in 2020.
