About John Logan
During his early years in the city of Chicago, John Logan worked as a playwright. His first known work was titled “Never the Sinner”. In 2009, he produced perhaps his most famous work as a playwright which was titled “Red” and won six Tony Awards in 2010.
He started his screenwriting career in 1999 and is best known for co-writing the film “Gladiator” which was shortlisted for an Academy Award in 2000. He has gone on to write many successful films and television shows such as “The Time Machine” and “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street”.

He grew up in the midst of two older siblings. He has come out as gay.

His study at Millburn High School ended in 1979. He continued at Northwestern University.

His 2007 film “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” earned him a Golden Globe Award. He has been nominated for many awards such as the Academy Award, BAFTA Award, and Writers Guild of America Award.
