About John Sessions
John Sessions was the stage name of British actor and comedian John Gibb Marshall. Having completed his studies at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), he started taking on small roles in films in 1982.
The actor came to be known for his work on the comedy TV series entitled, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”.
He was also noted for playing several characters in the television comedy show “Stella Street” and as one of the panellists on the comedy panel game show, “QI”.
Personal Life
He had an older brother and a twin sister called Maggie. Besides RADA, he was also educated at the University College of North Wales and the McMaster University in Canada. He identified as a gay man.
Death
He died at 67 of a heart attack on 2 November 2020 in London.
Trivia
His final television appearance was in the ITV drama series “The Loch”.
