Jonathan Larson was a renowned American playwright and composer who began his career in 1983 with the musical titled “Superbia”. He gained national fame in 1991 when he premiered his musical “Tick, Tick… Boom!”.
His work “Rent”, which premiered in 1993 and was based on the 1896 opera titled “La Bohème”, earned him some honors.

His early years with his parents Allan Larson and Nanette Notarius, played a key role in his rise to fame. He was in a relationship with a lady called Victoria Leacock.

He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts certificate from Adelphi University.
Awards
In 1996, he received three Tony Awards for his work dubbed “Rent”. He also won a Pulitzer Prize and a Drama Desk Award.
Death
He suffered from aortic dissection which resulted in his death in 1996.
