About Jonathan Swift
Jonathan Swift was a famous Irish essayist, poet, cleric, satirist, and political pamphleteer who is noted to have picked up the role of Dean at the St Patrick's Cathedral located in Dublin. He is more acknowledged for his satirical works and less of his poetry.
He initially used to release his works anonymously or under the fictional names; "Lemuel Gulliver", "Isaac Bickerstaff", and M. B. Drapier. Some of his popular works include; "A Take of a Tub" (1704), "Gulliver's Travel" (1926), "A Modest Proposal" (1729), "An Argument Against Abolishing Christianity" (1712), and more.
