About Jordan Taylor
Jordan Taylor is considered as one of the best softball pitchers of her generation. The American recorded most of her successes in college with the University of Michigan softball team. During her time with the group, she was selected into three ‘All-Big’ Ten Conference First Team. She was also named the “Big Ten Freshmen of the Year” in 2008. She won the Big Ten Regular Season Championship four times.
Following her fine performances in college, Taylor was drafted into the National Pro Fastpitch by the USSSA Pride in 2011. After seven years, she joined the Aussie Spirit.
International career and post-retirement
She played for the United States Softball team on many occasions. In 2011, she helped her country to win the Pan American Games which was held in Guadalajara, Mexico.
The former pitcher started coaching after her impressive playing career. In 2014, she joined the softball team of Boston University as a volunteer assistant. Two years later, she started her work at Loyola University Chicago as an assistant coach.
Education
Before starting her education at the University of Michigan, Taylor studied at Valencia High School.
Achievements
In 2010, she was named “Big Ten Pitcher of the Year”. During her active days, she was selected into the ALl-NPF Team Selection thrice.
Trivia
As at the end of September 2022, Taylor held the record for the most saves in the National Pro Fastpitch.
