Born Joseph William Utsler and professionally known as “Shaggy 2 Dope” is an American multi-talented musician and professional wrestler. He is almost a jack of all trades in the musical world, working as a DJ, record producer, singer and rapper. He is part of the American hip-hop duo “Insane Clown Posse” and a co-founder of “Psychopathic Records.”
Background
The entertainer was born and raised in Wayne, Michigan. However, Utsler is of Polish and Cherokee descent.
Music Career
In late 1991, his initial group “Inner City Posse” changed its musical style, dressing and ultimately its name to “Insane Clown Posse”. Since then, the group has received numerous successes, including selling over 6 million album units in the USA and Canada as of 2007 and earning five gold albums and two platinum albums.
However, from 1994, he has released many records, as a solo artist, including “F.T.F.O.” and “Fuck off!” Additionally, he has been part of several music groups, such as “Psychopathic Rydas”, “Dark Lotus” and “Soopa Villains.”
Wrestling Career Highlights
Between 1983 and 2010, he worked as a professional wrestler in addition to his music career. He was a one-time “JCW Heavyweight Championship” titleholder and a two-time “JCW Tag Team” champion with his partner Violent J. In 1999, he founded “Juggalo Championship Wrestling.”
