About Josip Broz Tito
Josip Broz Tito was the former Prime Minister and President of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, holding the positions from 1953 to 1980. His reign was noted for implementing lax reforms regarding freedom of speech and religion. Tito was arguably most famous for being the commander of the National Liberation Army and Partisan Detachments of Yugoslavia, or simply the Partisans, regarded as the best resistance movement against the Nazis in the European side during World War II. He was also one of the founders of the Communist Information Bureau (Cominform), but would later abandon the forum.
International Recognition
Aside from his domestic accolades, Tito also received some of the highest decorations from other countries like the Order of the Southern Cross (Brazil), Order of the Aztec Eagle (Mexico), and the Order of the Redeemer (Greece).
