Joss Stone is an English singer and songwriter. She is best known for her portrayal of Anne of Cleves on the HBO televsion series “The Tudors”.
Personal
Joss was born Joscelyn Eve Stoker in Dover, England. She lives with a house full of animals including a snake and a rottweiler named Missy Elliot. Joss has suffered from insomnia and anxiety since childhood but it was made much worse in 2011 when a plot to kill her was uncovered. The 2 conspirators are currently serving long prison sentences.
Highlights
In 2003, Joss released “The Soul Sessions” which went multi-platinum. She followed that up with 2 more hit albums. “You Had Me” was a single from her album “Mind, Body & Soul” that received a Grammy nomination. In 2005, Joss was also nominated for Best New Artist. In 2009, Joss portrayed Anne of Cleves in the HBO miniseries “The Tudors”.
