About Julia Sweeney
Julia Sweeney abandoned her accounting work to pursue a career in acting. She started as a member of The Groundlings troupe and was regularly featured in their Sunday Company. It was through one of her performances that she was discovered and made a regular performer on the television show “Saturday Night Live”.
She left the cast in 1994 and began performing in a number of monologues. She lent her voice to the Mrs. Keeper character in the 1999 animated film entitled “Stuart Little”. She has also appeared on Showtime’s “Work in Progress”.
Personal Life
She is the daughter of Jeraldine and Robert Mark Sweeney. Her siblings are Meg and Jim Sweeney. She has been married to Michael Blum since 2008, and together they have raised a child called Tara Mulan Blum. Prior to that, she was married to Stephen Hibbert.
Education
She is a product of the University of Washington. She has also studied at Gonzaga Preparatory School, and Marycliff High School.
Trivia
She has survived cervical cancer.
The actress has also worked as a writer and has published many books with some titled “It's Pat!: My Life Exposed” and “If It's Not One Thing, It's Your Mother”.
